We were delighted to hear from Gloria, who lives an active and creative life in the United State's Pacific northwest. She's been a long-time customer of Glyde because it's important for her to have her dog with her on her journeys along the shores. Here is her story and why she is proud to have her #GlydeDog.
“This is our fox terrier, Lily, who will be 9 years old this year. We got her from the breeder when she was 1-year-old and weighing 12 pounds. Her owner had her participating in the competitive world of show ring dogs, and she did not enjoy it. The opportunity to take her from something she did not enjoy, being the showbiz life, was important to me. Then when I met her; I was sold. We felt we were there to rescue her and bring her to a better life. She was thrilled!
Once we brought her home, we took her to the veterinarian for a complete check-up. We were surprised to learn she already had arthritis in her young hips. It was confirmed with X-rays. How could this be? Turns out, some dogs as young as a year old can have arthritis.
This did not deter us from wanting her to be part of our active, outdoor adventures along the ocean shores. Our veterinarian suggested Glyde Mobility Chews. The rest is history.
