Big Dogs, Little Dogs Need Glyde

Jess is a veterinary technician at Ellenbrook Animal Clinic and sent us a note about her dogs. These two dogs are adorable and the complete opposite of each other. One is very large and one very small. It is a snapshot of life with two dogs of different sizes. The common factor: both have joint issues that need addressing. It is the reality of a true story about how the size of your dog does not necessarily dictate whether your dog will have joint problems. In this case, a very large dog has joint problems. This is not surprising. But the little dog also has joint problems. We are glad they found Glyde Mobility Chews for dogs!

We loved this note she sent us about her two dogs Shelby and Spike who are loveable #GlydeDogs!

Here's what Jess said:

"Shelby is a Saint Bernard and is 8-years-old, Spike is a Maltese x Shih Tzu and is 13-years-old. They have both used Glyde for about 4 months. Shelby was starting to limp on her front legs and Spike has had a sore back previously so he is on it as a precaution. Both have had no issues since starting Glyde, Shelby has needed some additional pain relief on her bad days, but day to day life she is maintained well just by being on Glyde daily."

How do you know if your dog has arthritis?

Common risk factors to look for regarding arthritis in dogs include:

  • Size of your dog
  • Breed of your dog
  • Health of your dog
  • Age of your dog
  • The activity level of your dog

And more risk factors. Take the Arthritis Quiz to find the answers, and learn how you can help fight the signs of arthritis. Because a healthy, happy dog is also an active dog!
