Dexter's Dramatic Change

We always enjoy hearing from our #GlydeDog mums. But this story from Rachel truly warmed our hearts. She received options for treatment for Dexter and one of those options was euthanasia, which must have been heart-breaking to hear. She said she never truly considered it. "Dexter is my Maltese X Jack Russell. He was only 3-1/2 years old when he was diagnosed with IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) and arthritis. There are only 3 treatment options for this disease: surgery, conservative treatment or euthanasia.

Euthanasia was never an option for me! But I wasn't able to afford the surgery. I opted for the conservative treatment. With an early onset of arthritis, I knew the chance of full recovery was extremely low.
