We loved this story from Chrystal about her long-haired Dachshund, Penelope, who was suffering from arthritis in dogs. “Penelope is an 11.5-year-old long-haired Dachshund. Several years ago, she began to suffer with back pain/spasms every few months. We would give [a brand of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, or NSAID] or something similar for a few weeks, and cross our fingers until the next bout.
