Pet Emergency Kit

We all need emergency kits with many human needs such as medications and bandages. Here are some items you might want to include for your pet's emergency needs: 

• Registration certificates
• Vaccination certificates
• Food and water bowls
• Food and water for your pets
• Identification tags
• Medications needed
• Bedding, extra blankets
• Collars and leashes
• Non-adhesive wraps or bandages

Burn Treatment

If your pet is injured by fire, they must receive immediate veterinary treatment. If you cannot find seek that treatment at this time, here are things you can do:

1. Cool the burned area as quickly as possible with cold water.
2. Calm your pet, if needed.
3. Once the area has been flushed, apply a cold compress for 20 minutes.
4. Cover the area with a non-stick bandage. 
5. Seek professional, veterinary assistance when time allows.
