The specific combination and ratio of these breeds in the Catahoula Dog's ancestry are not precisely known. That said, because of their size, and the variety of breeds mixed to make this one beautiful dog, the results can sometimes be problems with their joints including hips, elbows and knees. This can lead to a decrease in mobility as in arthritis in dogs. The key is protecting your dog's joints, as Eleanor did. Here's what she had to say:
"Grace is a 7-year-old Catahoula Leopard dog. From about the age of 5, she started having crackly knees so I decided to start her on the Glyde products!
