Since 1981, the American Humane Society has celebrated October to help the estimated 3- 4 million animals awaiting forever homes they deserve. Since it's Adopt-A-Dog Month, consider adopting if you are thinking about adding a new pet to your home.  The timing of this story, is why it was especially wonderful to receive this from Doug’s mom, Jannee. As a veterinary technician, she cared for Doug the Dog in hopes she could get him mobile again after a lot of wear and tear on his joints due to his job as a K-9. They found that Doug was done chasing any potential bad guys. Now he was in for a battle against arthritis. We are glad Jannee found Doug, and [Glyde™ Mobility Chews](https://store.parnell.com/products/glyde-chews). It has made a tremendous difference in their dog. Here’s the story about Doug the K-9 Dog, now just Doug the #GlydeDog! ![Doug the Dog is Better on Glyde!](https://blog.parnell.com/hs-fs/hubfs/boxers.png?width=1600&name=boxers.png)   “We adopted our boy Doug from K9 just over 12 months ago. He is a Bull Mastiff x Shar-pei. When he come to us, he was 2 years old and already in a bad way. It was revealed that he has advanced arthritis throughout his whole body. His back legs had luxating patella Grade 4 in left leg and Grade 1 in right leg. He has gastro intestinal issues along with skin allergies.  He had surgery on his left leg to fix the luxating patella but was still very sore and uncomfortable with moving around. We put him onto the [Glyde Chews](https://store.parnell.com/products/glyde-chews) and noticed a huge improvement with him. He was able to get up without effort and running around isn't any issues for him now. The improvements from the chews is second to none. He runs around now like he is a puppy again. I recommend the [Glyde Chews](https://store.parnell.com/products/glyde-chews) to anyone I know whose dogs have arthritis or joint issues. They are the bomb!” *— Jannee, Doug’s Mom*   *[![Keep Your Dog Youthful with Glyde ](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/4000146/e6e6ce15-55e9-4896-9b3a-f3ef90f385ee.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/4000146/e6e6ce15-55e9-4896-9b3a-f3ef90f385ee)*   --- ### Also in the Parnell Paws Blog [![4 Ways to Keep Your Dogs Safe this Fourth of July](https://blog.parnell.com/hubfs/happy%204th%20from%20the%20dog.png)](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/4-ways-to-keep-your-dogs-safe-this-fourth-of-july) [4 Ways to Keep Your Dogs Safe this Fourth of July](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/4-ways-to-keep-your-dogs-safe-this-fourth-of-july) June 27, 2024 [Read More ](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/4-ways-to-keep-your-dogs-safe-this-fourth-of-july) [![It's a Wrap: Our 2023 Highlights](https://blog.parnell.com/hubfs/its%20a%20wrap%20(1).png)](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/its-a-wrap-our-2023-highlights) [It's a Wrap: Our 2023 Highlights](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/its-a-wrap-our-2023-highlights) November 30, 2023 [Read More ](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/its-a-wrap-our-2023-highlights) [![Top 5 Holiday Pet-Related Disasters to Avoid](https://blog.parnell.com/hubfs/Christmas%20time%20with%20the%20dog.png)](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/top-5-holiday-pet-related-disasters-to-avoid) [Top 5 Holiday Pet-Related Disasters to Avoid](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/top-5-holiday-pet-related-disasters-to-avoid) November 30, 2023 [Read More ](https://blog.parnell.com/en-us/top-5-holiday-pet-related-disasters-to-avoid) #### Share [![Share on facebook](https://7528309.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/7528309/hubfs/raw_assets/public/mV0_d-web-default-modules_hubspot/img/facebook-color.png?width=24&name=facebook-color.png) ](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.parnell.com%2Fen-us%2Fdougs-arthritis-battle-better-on-glyde%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on linkedin](https://7528302.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/7528302/hubfs/raw_assets/public/mV0_d-web-default-modules_hubspot/img/linkedin-color.png?width=24&name=linkedin-color.png) ](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.parnell.com%2Fen-us%2Fdougs-arthritis-battle-better-on-glyde%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [![Share on twitter](https://7528304.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/7528304/hubfs/raw_assets/public/mV0_d-web-default-modules_hubspot/img/twitter-color.png?width=24&name=twitter-color.png) ](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.parnell.com%2Fen-us%2Fdougs-arthritis-battle-better-on-glyde%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.parnell.com%2Fen-us%2Fdougs-arthritis-battle-better-on-glyde%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=) [![Share on email](https://7528311.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/7528311/hubfs/raw_assets/public/mV0_d-web-default-modules_hubspot/img/email-color.png?width=24&name=email-color.png) ](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.parnell.com%2Fen-us%2Fdougs-arthritis-battle-better-on-glyde%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.parnell.com%2Fen-us%2Fdougs-arthritis-battle-better-on-glyde%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) #### +MUST READ -
