Responsible Dog Ownership Day

The American Kennel Club (AKC) created Responsible Dog Ownership Day to educate the public in their own communities about what it means to be a responsible pet owner and how to enhance the relationships between dogs and their pet parents. It is observed annually as the third Saturday in September. This year, it is September 15.

Many of us are dog owners, but what does it mean to be a responsible dog owner? And what can you do to celebrate responsible dog ownership? Here are some visual aids with adorable dogs to help you remember them.
