Track Changes and See Success

Aug 12, 2019

Changes in feed, personnel, or protocols on your dairy can impact your herd's fertility. Traditionally, tracking the effects have been more time and labor-consuming than you can afford. But that is about to change with the latest features coming to mySYNCH by Parnell this August.

mySYNCH is launching Journal and Fertility Analysis features for you to track and visually see how changes that occur on your farm affect your fertility.  These tools are an excellent way to be able to analyze trends and make better management decisions for the future of your farm.

The Journal allows you to record events that have happened on your dairy.  Under the Farm tab, you can log events and organize them into the following categories environment, nutrition, personnel, product, and protocol. However, if none of the current categories quite fit for what is happening on your farm, there is also an "other" option.  Before submitting your entry, you can provide brief notes to explain the nature of the event further. All the entries will appear chronologically in the Journal and will also display as a notepad symbol along the bottom of the new Fertility Analysis graph.

FertilityAnalysis (2)

The Fertility Analysis lets you see up to a two-year history of reproductive metrics for your herd. The graph illustrates the insemination, conception and pregnancy rates in 21-day breeding intervals. It also has the rolling herd average (R.H.A.) for pregnancy rate to show how your 21-day rate compares to your overall average. You can also filter information on specific parameters like lactations, time periods, and metrics.  With the integration of the Journal, you will be able to see when events occurred and how it directly affected your herd. You will be able to access Fertility Analysis under the new Tools tab.

mySYNCH aims to provide you the information you need to improve the performance of your herd. Bringing these new features to mySYNCH will help you better identify and analyze changes made on your farm have impacted your herd's fertility. With this information, you will be better able to make profitable decisions for your dairy.
